Google Goggles Uses Unfair Tactics
August 29, 2008 – 7:13 pmThere a literally thousands if not millions of people advertise on Google Adwords. This type of advertising is known as Pay Per Click or PPC. Basically as an advertiser you tell google that you are willing to pay a certain amount of money each time someone clicks on your ad.
Advertisers have enjoyed great success in this form of advertising but are trying frantically to find ways to cut down on the amount they pay per click. Google will not tell you what you need to do on your landing page or what keywords to use in order to lower your click costs. This is completely up to you as an advertiser.
For most PPC advertisers, trying to determine what Googles techniques are, they tend to either suck it up and pay the price or flat out go somewhere else or find other ways to advertise online.
What Google Goggles does is make it possible for you to test your ad and keywords before even putting it into your PPC campaign. Google Goggles will give you a pretty good idea of what your Click Through Ratio would be for your ad if you were to use it in Adwords.
To some, this is completly unfair. For me, this is purely smart marketing. Using what ever tools you may have at your disposal to increase your profitability. That is just the capitalist way.
For those who complain and say that we are cheating them and stealing their profits need to just stop the complaining and take advantage of Google Goggles and start point more money into their bank account instead of into Googles pockets.
